The AllMatters vision is #NEWPERIOD. In 3 years, you can use 792 tampons / pads or 1 AllMatters menstrual cup.
Menstrual cups are a wonderful reusable period product that can be used and reused for years. Silicone is derived from quartz, which is the second most abundant mineral in the Earth's crust and not hazardous to the environment. The menstrual cup is not coloured, avoiding any colouring additives.
When inserted correctly, you will not feel any discomfort and will be unable to tell that you have a cup inserted.
Size does not depend on anatomy. It depends on how much flow the cup can hold.
Packaging
The menstrual cup packaging is made from recyclable carton and instructions are printed directly onto the packaging to minimise waste.
How to insert
Find out which fold you are most comfortable with - the C-fold and the Punchdown fold are our favourites! Make sure you maintain a firm grip on the cup and insert the cup tilted diagonally towards the back (towards your tailbone). Make sure that the cup is fully open by running your finger around the base of the cup to check for any folds.

How to remove
Reach your fingers in and find the base of the cup. Press down on the base of the cup to break the "seal" and pull the cup out. Maintain a firm grip of the cup. Do not pull hard on the stem to remove the cup as you will feel resistance. Use the stem as a guide to find the base of the cup.
Sterilising
Sterilise the cup before and after your period. Simply get a small bowl, place your cup inside, and pour hot water over to soak for 5 minutes.
Cleaning tips!
Use clean water and a fragrance-free soap or our fragrance-free multi-use OrganiWash to wash out. Rinsing with water every time you empty it will help prevent stains in the long run and keep your cup looking fresh! If the cup changes in colour or texture (becomes slimy), or changes in appearance in any way, stop use immediately.
Hygiene
Menstrual cups are very hygienic because no external factors or free oxygen will reach the accumulated menstrual flow while the cup is inserted, and no bacteria will be created. Wash your hands with soap before you insert or remove the cup and you should empty your menstrual every 8-12 hours, or earlier depending on your flow.
A 2019 report by the Lancet Public Health also concluded that menstrual cups are a safe option.
