We have designed our menstrual cup to be a great all-rounder size to hold slightly more flow than a regular "small cup".
Size does not depend on anatomy. It depends on how much flow the cup can hold. Our cup can hold up to 20ml comfortably.
Major tip: Insert the cup tilted diagonally towards the back! Not straight up!
There is no box packaging for the cups in line with our efforts to reduce packaging waste. From February 10, cups will come in a batik pouch.
The cups have been designed to fit women both pre-childbirth and post-childbirth. They are designed for comfort and the silicone is made to be more malleable for easier insertion and removal. You will not feel the cup when it is properly inserted!
The cups weigh only 13 grams and are ideal for sports and water activities and are leak-free for 10 to 12 hours (this is an average; some women experience heavier flows than others).
Once removed, use clean water and a fragrance-free soap to wash out. Dry it with tissue or a clean towel. If you are in public, handicapped toilets (with connected sinks) are great. You can also use a water bottle to clean it out.
Sterilising is not necessary every time you empty the cup out. But you are advised to sterilise the cup before and after your period. Simply get a small bowl, place your cup inside, and pour hot water over. Or simply use the hottest setting of your shower hose to wash it out.
